Mark Menghini reported to the University Board of Curators on April 4 as its newly appointed general counsel.
He replaces Steve Owens, who retired from the position and now practices law with Husch Blackwell.
Menghini previously worked as the executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for Aegion, a multinational construction firm based in St. Louis, and as an officer, executive committee member and board of directors leader for Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale.
The office provides legal representation for the system’s Board of Curators, four universities and its health care system. In the role, Menghini will oversee a staff of in-house attorneys and legal assistants while collaborating with outside law firms and attorneys when necessary.
