Evergy promotes counsel to VP

Kara D. Larson has been promoted at Evergy to vice president and chief ethics officer alongside her existing role as assistant general counsel.

Larson is responsible for ethics and compliance at the electricity utility company, including investigations and federal regulatory compliance. She also leads the company’s legal work across areas of law including contracts, commercial matters, labor and employment and nuclear matters as well as related litigation.

Larson earned her law degree from the University of Tulsa in 1996, and an MBA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2018.
