Anheuser-Busch InBev’s bid to get back the European Union-wide trademark on “Bud” for beer should be re-examined, the EU’s highest court said, rejecting a lower court’s decision to annul the protection. AB InBev, the world’s biggest brewer, and Czech competitor Budejovicky Budvar NP have been entangled in disputes over name rights covering use of the Bud brand for more than a century.
