‘My tendency is to make peace’

Albert Riederer was a Jackson County prosecutor for 12 years, appeals court judge for more than two and a Kansas City mayoral candidate in 2007. As proof of his penchant for plunging headlong into the controversial, his solo practice focuses on collapsed insurance companies.

"I guess I'm proof that if you're a lawyer there are a lot of different ways to make a living," he says.
