Pregnant women, parents of young children and employees caring for sick relatives are bringing an increasing number of discrimination claims.
“Family responsibility discrimination” claims are an emerging trend in employment law, and they’re surfacing in Missouri. George Lenard, an employment defense attorney with Chesterfield firm Harris, Dowell, Fisher & Harris, predicts lawyers will file more claims alleging discrimination against caregivers.
