Jerry Schlichter pioneered claims against employee retirement plans alleged to have charged excessive fees under the federal Employee Retirement Income Security Act.
Settlements have included a $62 million settlement on behalf of Lockheed Martin employees in 2015, a $57 million settlement that same year for Boeing employees, a $35 million settlement in Illinois on behalf of Cigna employees in 2013, and a $55 million settlement for ABB employees reached in 2019.
He’s also had two cases reach the U.S. Supreme Court — one in 2015, the other last year — allowing class-action suits to proceed on such claims.
