All-time favorite Supreme Court justice? John Marshall Harlan, for his lone dissent in Plessy v. Ferguson.
Favorite historical figure? Benjamin Franklin, the prototype American Renaissance man.
The best part of being an attorney? I derive satisfaction from navigating and resolving legal issues affecting the university’s educational, research and health care missions.
What can you spend hours doing that’s not law-related? Singing and playing music with my sons (ages 2 and 4). Current hits with the Goddard boys include “Polly Wolly Doodle” and “Ramblin’ Man.”
