AuBuchon Law Firm

Richard M. AuBuchonTort reform has been a major preoccupation of the Missouri legislature for years, and Rich AuBuchon has been there every step of the way.

AuBuchon, whose current clients include the Missouri Civil Justice Reform Coalition, has helped to negotiate most of the major changes to tort law passed in recent years, from an overhaul of the state’s expert witness standards to current efforts to shield businesses from liability during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A 2001 graduate of the University of Tulsa College of Law, AuBuchon served in a variety of governmental roles under Republican officeholders, including as chief of staff to Lt. Governor Peter D. Kinder, a senior staff member for Gov. Matt Blunt and chief counsel for the Office of Administration.

He then served as general counsel for the Missouri Chamber of Commerce & Industry and was counsel with Polsinelli before ultimately opening his own lobbying outfit.

AuBuchon is married to Betsy AuBuchon, clerk of the Missouri Supreme Court and a former lobbyist herself.
