She enrolled at Saint Louis University School of Law because of its nationally recognized program in health law. While there, she completed an internship with the general counsel for the Saint Louis University Health Sciences Department.
After earning her law degree in 2006, she joined the health care liability practice group at Brown & James, where she focuses on defending and advising a range of health care providers.
Dimar was part of a team that won the fifth-largest defense win of 2015, as tracked by Missouri Lawyers Media. The case involved a Hannibal medical clinic and an obstetrician alleged to have perforated a woman’s bowel during a hysterectomy.
In 2010, she took part in the second-largest defense win of the year, in which a doctor was alleged to have diagnosed a condition that led a man to lose portions of his intestines. The St. Louis jury returned a unanimous defense verdict in just under an hour.
Dimar also frequently presents on risk management and litigation techniques. She is a member of the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers.
