His practice now focuses on commodities, derivatives, securities, financial institutions, the Foreign Corrupt Practice Act, technology, cybersecurity and compliance.
Recently, Perry was co-counsel with fellow POWER honoree Nathan Garrett in representing Kansas City-area sweepstakes and prize-mailer companies sued by the Federal Trade Commission and Missouri Attorney General’s Office. The case settled for $30 million in 2019.
Prior to his work for the commission, Perry practiced at a predecessor to Husch Blackwell, as well as senior vice president of regulatory affairs and compliance for Mariner Holdings.
Perry has served since 2015 as a council member for the city of Mission Hills, Kansas, where he also has served on the city’s Board of Zoning Appeals and its Crime Prevention and Safety Committee.
He earned his law degree from the University of Kansas in 2002.
