Most Innovative Missouri Firm
Husch Blackwell has been on the leading edge of new industry groups and firm operations.
The Link, its virtual office, was an idea ready to go before COVID-19 lockdowns when Husch Blackwell’s brick-and-mortar offices and the rest of the industry followed suit. It was ready to launch by July 2020.
In its second year of operations, The Link is growing and here to stay alongside the firm’s physical offices.
Its last CEO, Paul Eberle, ran the firm as a rare non-lawyer running a U.S. law firm before stepping down earlier this year. Eberle previously led Whyte Hirschboek Dudek in Milwaukee since 2009 before joining Husch Blackwell in 2016.
Husch Blackwell’s psychedelics and emerging therapies practice group is just one pioneering practice launched this year, springing from the healthcare law group that was a trailblazer itself when it hired its first attorney, Curt Chase, more than 20 years ago.
Missouri Lawyers Media recognized the firm in 2019 Missouri Legal Innovation Awards in the emerging practice of cannabis law, after the firm developed software that streamlines its medical marijuana counseling.
