Upending the usual path for those on the Lawyer-Lobbyists POWER List, Tricia Workman became a lobbyist before earning her law degree.

Workman got her start as a lobbyist in 1995 for John Bardgett & Associates. She also served as chief of staff to then-Lt. Gov. Joe Maxwell.

She joined the firm now known as Stinson as an associate after earning her law degree from Saint Louis University in 2007. Her practice centered administrative law and litigation on top of state government lobbying and regulatory affairs.

She formed a lobbying firm with fellow Stinson colleague Mike Gibbons in 2014, and it grew into a premier lobbying firm in the state capitol. Counted among its clients are the Missouri Employers Insurance Company, Bayer, The Doe Run Company, Truman State University and Peabody Energy.
