2023 Unsung Legal Heroes: Cheryl Duren

Cheryl Duren has been especially valuable in her support of her firm’s corporation law practice group. She works closely with the firm’s banking and business attorneys to assist their clients with the formation, qualification and maintenance of their businesses. Her responsibilities include taking the lead with respect to preparing and organizing loan documents in connection with financial transactions and regulatory matters. She also coordinates the facilitation of mergers, acquisitions and real estate transactions.
What led you to choose a career in the legal field?
I have always been fascinated with the idea of “Corporate America” and wanted to be a part of the process. I felt that as a paralegal, I would be able to assist “behind the scenes” to make a difference.
What is the best part of your job?
The best part of my job are the people I am blessed to work with every day. Each day brings new challenges and more opportunities to learn and grow.
