Margaret Hesse is the president and a shareholder of Tueth Keeney.

Tueth Keeney specializes in employment and education law, as well as immigration law, construction & real estate law, commercial litigation and appellate practice.

Hesse’s practice focuses on education law, employment law and litigation. She earned her J.D. from Washington University.

On the hard days, Hesse said her clients keep her motivated.

“I am motivated by solving our clients’ problems and providing them with support so that they can get back to doing what they do best,” she said. “I am also motivated to provide a respectful workplace that provides opportunities for professional growth.”

Her advice for other female attorneys eyeing leadership positions, is to behave like a leader.

“Act like a leader, no matter your current position,” Hesse said. “Observe other leaders and reflect on what you like and don’t like about their leadership.  Find a mentor (or two) who will be your champion, but who will also give you their honest opinions and, listen to those opinions.”
