Kent Emison, founding partner of Langdon & Emison in Lexington, has practiced law for 44 years, establishing himself as a prominent figure in product liability litigation nationwide. Emison co-founded his firm almost 40 years ago with partner Bob Langdon, growing it to 25 full-time attorneys across three offices.

The firm specializes in product liability cases throughout the country, along with various personal injury matters involving catastrophic injuries and death. Emison’s most notable achievement came in Baker v. General Motors, a case that reached the U.S. Supreme Court and established precedent for former employee testimony in trials. The landmark decision is now taught in law school torts classes.

Emison serves as a fellow in the American Board of Trial Advocates and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers.
