More than 180 members of the state’s legal community attended Missouri Lawyer’s Media annual Missouri Lawyers Awards Feb. 12 at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis.

The awards recognize attorneys who made a notable impact over the past year. Honorees were selected across multiple categories, including top plaintiffs’ verdicts, top settlements, top judgments, top defense verdicts, as well as influential attorneys, law firm leaders, legal champions and the lawyer of the year.

Edward D. “Chip” Robertson Jr. was named the 2026 Lawyer of the Year for defending appeals of four major verdicts involving trucking, premises liability, commercial negligence and mass tort litigation, including a Roundup cancer case with Monsanto.

Nominations for the awards were received from throughout the state. In selecting this year’s honorees, Missouri Lawyers Media considered not only their professional accomplishments but also the broader influence of their work, including their dedication to clients and the communities they serve.
