Interviews set for St. Louis judgeship

The 22nd Judicial Circuit Commission will meet Nov. 12-13 to select finalists for a vacancy on the St. Louis Circuit Court.

Twenty applicants will be interviewed for the vacancy created by the retirement of Circuit Judge Thomas C. Grady. The interviews at the Missouri Court of Appeals Eastern District, 815 Olive St. in St. Louis, are open to the public.

The commission will select three finalists. Gov. Jay Nixon will have 60 days to choose one for the judgeship.

According to the commission, the applicants include 11 women and nine men. Seven are minorities. Six work in the private sector, and 14 in the public sector. Their mean age is 46.5.

The applicants are: Paula Perkins Bryant, Nicole Colbert-Botchway, Timothy James Boyer, Theresa Counts Burke, Mary Patricia Benninger Carl, Anne-Marie Clarke, Thomas C. Clark II, Cynthia M. Fox, Kimberly M. Gardner, Bridget L. Halquist, Heather J. Hays, Craig Kennedy Higgins, Matthew J. Devoti, Teneil L. Kellerman, Steven R. Kratky, Christopher E. McGraugh, Michael Warren Noble, Jason Mark Sengheiser, Calea Stovall-Reid and James Edward Sullivan.
