The 22nd Circuit Judicial Commission met May 15 and 16 to interview 30 applicants for an associate circuit vacancy in St. Louis.
Following the public interviews, the commission expects to nominate three finalists to replace Judge Calea Stovall-Reid, who recently was elected to the circuit bench.
Gov. Mike Parson will have 60 days to make the appointment.
According to the commission, the applicant pool includes 13 women and 17 men. Nine are minorities. Twenty work in the private sector and 10 are in the public sector. Their mean age is 47.
The applicants include Kevin B. Anderson, Deborah M. Bird, Steven J. Capizzi, Mary Pat Carl, Francisco J. Carretero, Michael J. Colona, Mary Entrup, Micah D. Hall, Bridget L. Halquist, Heather J. Hays, Craig K. Higgins, Heather Highland, Christopher A. Hoffman, William P. Hogan and Paul F. Horgan.
Also applying are Connie L. Johnson, Jessica W. Kennedy, Richard T. King, Michael P. Mahon, Matthew C. Melton, Patrick L. Mickey, Patrick J. Monahan, Deborah L. Price, Patrick E. Richmond, Michael R. Roby, Kristyn E. Skelly, Larry D. Thomason Jr., Michael L. Walton, Lisl King Williams and Rochelle M. Woodiest.
