From his work as general counsel of the National Labor Relations Board to overseeing Missouri’s Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, Jerry Hunter has amassed a deep well of experience in labor and employment matters.

Hunter earned his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 1977. He went on to work as labor counsel for the Kellwood Company, as a field attorney with the National Labor Relations Board and as a senior trial attorney for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
From 1986 to 1989, Hunter led the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations. He was also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Missouri State Employees Retirement System.
He left to serve as general counsel of the National Labor Relations Board in Washington, D.C. In 1994, he joined Bryan Cave.
Outside of his practice, Hunter served as a co-chair of the transition team for Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt after Schmitt was appointed to succeed U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley.
