The POWER List 2022: Brittany Barrientos

Brittany Barrientos has been called on the scene for emergencies and to guide clients through investigations following spills and releases.
She advises clients on environmental regulatory requirements and due diligence for real estate and corporate transactions, permits, and strategies for environmental compliance.
Barrientos earned her law degree from the University of Missouri in 2009. She began practicing at Newman, Comley & Ruth in 2009 before joining the environmental and energy division of then-Stinson Leonard Street by 2012.
In 2016, she received a Missouri Lawyers Media Up & Coming Award. She was first named partner in 2017. That same year, Barrientos was on the attorney team representing Spire and its affiliates through its acquisition of a controlling position in Ryckman Creek Resources, a Wyoming natural gas storage facility.
Barrientos has been on The Missouri Bar’s environmental law committee since 2009. She also has served as a vice chair of the Committee on Minority Issues and a member of a special committee on lawyers of color.
