The 31st Circuit Judicial Commission has nominated Randall D. Eggert, Kaiti Greenwade and Steven E. Kellogg for a vacancy on the Greene County circuit bench, as well as Zachary McFarland, Kirsten E. Poppen and Amy S. Westermann for an associate circuit vacancy.
The commission on April 26 interviewed 12 applicants for the vacancy that will be created by the impending retirement of Circuit Judge David C. Jones, and 18 applicants to succeed Associate Circuit Judge Mark A. Powell.
Eggert is an assistant United States attorney. Greenwade is an associate circuit judge in Greene County. Kellogg is a public defender. The five-member commission said all were chosen unanimously after three hours of deliberation.
McFarland is an assistant prosecuting attorney for Greene Count. Poppen is an attorney with Neale & Newman. Westermann is chief counsel of the State Tax Commission of Missouri. The commission said McFarland and Poppen received five votes and Westermann received three votes.
Gov. Mike Parson has 60 days to appoint one of the nominees from each panel.
