A total of 27 people are applying for two vacancies on the St. Louis County Circuit Court.
The 21st Circuit Judicial Commission is filling a circuit judge vacancy created by the impending retirement of Judge Margaret Donnelly and the associate circuit judge vacancy created by the elevation of Judge Megan Julian to the circuit bench.
The commission plans to meet Nov. 7 and 8 at the St. Louis County Court Building in Clayton to interview the nominees and select two panels of three for the governor to consider.
There are 19 applicants for the circuit vacancy, including 10 women and one minority applicant. Seven work in the private sector and 12 are in the public sector. Their mean age is 49.
There are 20 applicants for the associate vacancy, including nine women and four minority applicants. Half work in the private sector, and half in the public sector. Their mean age is 46.
The 12 people applying for both vacancies are: Seth A. Albin, Chastidy R. Dillon-Amelung, Ramona Gau, Bridget L. Halquist, Jason Lewis, Curtis J. Niewald, Stuart O’Brien, Ian Simmons, Thomas D. Smith, Kelly Snyder, Dean Stark and Katharine A. Watkins.
Those applying only for the circuit judge vacancy are: Lorne J. Baker, Ellen W. Dunne, Matthew Hearne, Julia P. Lasater, Amanda B. McNelley, Krista S. Peyton and Natalie P. Warner.
Those applying only for the associate circuit judge vacancy are: Monique D. Abby, Elisha Ahmed-Petersen, David Bryant, Matthew Floyd, Nicolette Klapp, Christopher J. Klaverkamp, Joseph Terry and Kimberly Whittle.
