Gov. Mike Parson has elevated Judge Nathan Taylor to the Greene County circuit bench.

Taylor, whom Parson had named as an associate circuit judge in August, fills a newly-created circuit judgeship. He earned his law degree from the University of Tulsa.

The 31st Circuit Judicial Commission nominated Taylor, along with attorneys Rachel A. Riso and Jared Robertson, in late October. The appointment leaves another vacancy to be filled under the Nonpartisan Court Plan.

Parson also promoted Judge Jeff Mittelhauser to circuit judge for the 18th Judicial Circuit. Mittelhauser, who earned his law degree from the University of Missouri, was first elected as an associate circuit judge in Pettis County in 2014.

Mittelhauser fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Robert L. Koffman, who had served as presiding judge for the central Missouri circuit since 2005.
