The 6th Circuit Judicial Commission will meet Dec. 13 to interview 11 applicants for an associate circuit judgeship on the Platte County Circuit Court.
The commission said seven men and four women applied for the vacancy left by Judge Megan B. Benton’s recent elevation to the circuit bench.
According to the commission, there are two minority applicants. Three applicants work in the private sector, six work in the public sector and two work in both. Their average age is 42.
The commission plans to publicly interview applicants starting at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 13 at the Platte County Courthouse in Platte City. Following interviews, the commission will select three finalists to send to Gov. Mike Parson, who will have 60 days to make the appointment.
The applicants are Susan M. Casey, Kevin D. Humiston, Jared M. Leslie, Elizabeth A. Murray, Myles A. Perry, Jesse Sendejas, Blake C. Sherer, Nicolas J. Taulbee, Maria M. Theoharidis, Cody L. Wiegers and James Robert Willard Jr.
