Association honors judge with George Pittman Award

Todd Thornhill, chief judge of Springfield Municipal Court, received the George Pittman Award presented by the Missouri Municipal and Associate Circuit Judges Association at its annual conference May 22-24 in Lake of the Ozarks.

The award recognizes contributions to the association that exceed those of officers and board members. Thornhill is the 10th recipient of the award.

Thornhill is chair of the Missouri Supreme Court’s committee on practice and procedure in municipal division cases. He also is a past president of the association and has served as editor of Benchmark, the association’s publication, since 2002.
