Finalists announced for Jackson County judgeship

The Sixteenth Circuit Judicial Commission has selected three finalists for the circuit judge vacancy in Division 11 of the Jackson County Circuit Court.
The vacancy was created by the retirement of Judge George E. Wolf. The nominees are Adam L. Caine, Ashley N. Garrett and Susan E. Long.
Caine is an assistant in the U.S. Attorney’s office for the Western District of Missouri in Kansas City. Garrett is the deputy county counselor for Jackson County in Kansas City. Long is an associate circuit judge for Division 34 in the 16th Circuit, in Independence.
All five members of the commission voted for Long. Caine and Garrett each received three votes in support.
The commission has submitted the panel to Gov. Mike Parson, who has 60 days to appoint one of the nominees.
