The 21st Circuit Judicial Commission is seeking applications for two upcoming judicial vacancies.

The commission plans to hold public interviews on Nov. 7 and 8 for the vacancy created by the impending retirement of Circuit Judge Margaret Donnelly. Donnelly, a former state lawmaker and family court commissioner, was named to the bench by Gov. Jay Nixon in 2016.

Simultaneously, the commission will consider applicants for a coming associate circuit judge vacancy. The commission in September chose Judges Ellen W. Dunne, Matthew H. Hearne and Megan Julian as finalists for a newly created circuit judgeship, guaranteeing another vacancy once Gov. Mike Parson makes the appointment.

Applications for both judgeships will be accepted until Oct. 20. Following interviews, the commission will select three finalists for each position.
