Paul Venker helped win a Missouri Supreme Court case in 2016 that upheld the constitutionality of caps for noneconomic damages for certain medical malpractice and wrongful death cases. The high-profile win earned him one of Missouri Lawyers Media’s Influential Appellate Awards the following year.
Venker co-founded the law firm of Williams Venker & Sanders in 2001. It merged with Baker Sterchi Cowden & Rice in 2018. He recently chaired the Freedom Suits Memorial steering committee, which established a memorial recognizing slaves who sued for their freedom in Missouri before the Civil War.
