Brian Burge devotes his practice to exclusively defending the interests of health care providers accused of malpractice. He has taken the lead in defending some of Missouri’s most important malpractice lawsuits.
In November 2024, a federal jury in Springfield ruled in favor of Burge’s client, an orthodontist, rejecting a claim of $3 million in damages from a woman who received orthodontic treatment as a teen following an injury that knocked out a tooth.
In 2023, a jury found in favor of Burge’s client, a physician whose patient died from a pulmonary embolism, and denied a $2 million claim by the plaintiff.
Burge earned his law degree from the University of Kansas in 2003.
