Susan Block has practiced for 50 years as an advocate for children and domestic violence victims. As former administrative judge of the Family Court of St. Louis County, Block helped create policies protecting the rights of children and abused adults before transitioning to her current role as a litigator representing clients with complex family law issues.
Block said, “Family law was a good fit for my passions: children and parents.” One memorable case involved helping a grandmother reunite with her grandchild after the grandmother’s daughter and two other grandchildren were murdered by her son-in-law. Despite unfair treatment by the child welfare system, Block’s strategic planning led to the grandmother eventually adopting her grandchild.
