Randles & Splittgerber, Kansas City

Bev Randles was part of the two biggest plaintiffs’ wins of 2020.

Randles, along with fellow POWER List honoree Don Downing, achieved a $400 million settlement as part of a $12.1 billion global settlement for farmers whose crops allegedly were damaged by dicamba drift.

And, working with fellow POWER List honoree Ben Mook and several others, helped win a $265 million verdict for a southeast Missouri peach farm that suffered similar damage. The award’s $250 million in punitive damages were cut after trial, but the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals recently ordered a new assessment.

Randles previously was in the national product liability division of Shook, Hardy & Bacon. She helped co-found her current firm in 2013.

Randles is politically active in the Republican Party. She is a former chair of the Missouri Club for Growth and a former member of the Missouri Advisory Council to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. She currently serves on the executive committee of the National Federation of Pachyderm Clubs.

In 2014, she managed her husband and law partner Bill Randles’ run for governor, and in 2016 she made her own bid for lieutenant governor. She earned her law degree from the University of Missouri in 1999.
