The POWER List 2022: Anna R. Kimbrell

As renewable energies have come to the forefront, so has Anna Kimbrell who represents developers and owners in the acquisition, funding and financing of wind and solar projects across the nation.
While part of her practice works with clients on project development from early-stage greenfielding efforts through construction and financing, the other part is devoted to transactional work for renewable energy efforts.
A 2014 graduate of the University of Kansas, where she still acts as a one-on-one mentor, Kimbrell originally joined Husch as a summer associate. She made partner in 2020 and now leads the firm’s Energy & Natural Resources Team. Kimbrell helped guide Swift Current Energy through the development and sale of a 185-megawatt wind farm in Illinois, represented Liberty Utilities in the purchase and financing of a Nevada solar facility and helped put together the $245 million acquisition of a subsea, midstream pipeline system in Louisiana for CorEnergy.
Advising solar and wind project developers and owners across 20 states, her list of clients includes Algonquin Power Co., Tenaska and South Central MCN, LLC.
