For acquisitions of contaminated properties for commercial and retail development, Kyle E. Foote advises clients in 25 states. They also seek his counsel on legacy hazardous waste sites in Illinois, Kansas and at least five other states.
Foote has been on the Stinson attorney team that advised Kansas City-based private equity firm Great Range Capital in its sale of Heartland, a portfolio company and commercial landscape management firm, to a Connecticut-based investment company, as well as Waste Management’s acquisition of Petro Waste Environmental.
Foote’s clients span sectors of manufacturing, energy and electric utility, real estate, mining, propane and petroleum storage and distribution, telecommunications and finance. He counsels on environmental issues springing from business and real estate transactions as well as liability exposure and strategies to mitigate risk.
Foote is a member of the American Bar Association natural resources, energy and environmental law section as well as the state and local government law section. He is on The Missouri Bar’s environmental and energy committee and the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s environmental committee.
Foote earned his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1990. He also earned his master of studies in law specializing in environmental law and policy in 1991.
