WJA 2023: Jackalyn A. Olinger Rochelle

Jackalyn A. Olinger Rochelle has spent 17 years helping families impacted by asbestos-related illnesses from coast-to-coast.
Recognized for her work in regard to lung disease, catastrophic personal injury matters and product liability cases, the Saint Louis University School of Law alumna graduated with the Dean’s Academic Scholarship Award in 2005.
A longtime fixture in leadership at the American Association for Justice, Rochelle has been honored ten times with four different awards by the organization including its President’s Distinguished Service Award, which she won three times over 11 years.
“She sees cases from intake to trial and has secured millions of dollars in settlements and awards for her clients and their families,” said her firm’s website biography.
Rochelle was also honored by the SLU Black Law Students Association with its Outstanding Attorney Award in 2008. In the larger community, the Foster and Adoptive Care Coalition recognized her as Volunteer of the Year in 2014. She now serves as the group’s board of directors president.
A former legal advocate for the St. Louis Office of Veterans Affairs Homeless-Disadvantaged Veterans Pro Bono Project, Rochelle has also served as an adjunct professor at the Washington University School of Law in addition to being a frequent presenter and faculty member around the nation for continuing legal education classes. In 2008, she was a guardian ad litem in Madison County Circuit Court.
Rochelle is a member of the National, Missouri and Illinois State bar associations and the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. A part of the Pound Civil Justice Institute, she is also a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the Mound City Bar Association.
