WJA 2023: Jennine Adamek Moore
Staff Report//May 11, 2023//

Once she resolved his case at mediation, Jennine Adamek Moore’s client let her know just how much he appreciated her work.
“Afterwards, he hugged me so hard that he lifted me off the ground,” remembered the 48-year-old Saint Louis University alumna. “He was so relieved that the whole process was over and he would not need to go to trial. He could put this behind him and move on. It is things like that stick with you. This is why I do what I do.”
What she does is insurance defense work, an area she began practicing at Brown & James where she spent two decades before moving to her current firm in 2020. Her first week at Franke Schultz & Mullen proved eventful.
“I started on a Monday and on Thursday, it was ‘everybody work from home’,” she recalled. “It was an interesting start to a new job.”
Originally hailing from rural Illinois, Adamek Moore is a Leo C. Brown Award winner who was recently named president-elect of the Lawyers Association of St. Louis.
“Every day is something new,” she said of her practice area. “You might think you know what you are going to be walking into and your day might be completely different than what you planned.”
Mostly, she plans to help her clients, guiding them through complex and intimidating court procedures. She said she likes to make sure everyone is represented. It is one of the things that attracted her to law school in the first place.
“I liked to see both sides of the story and argue my points,” she noted.
She said that she feels the role of women in the justice system is improving and sees more females being promoted to partner these days.
“I think things have definitely changed in the 23 years since I started,” Adamek Moore said. “Quite often, I was mistaken for the court reporter or the court clerk if I was in the courtroom. I think things have progressed over the years.”
