The POWER List 2023: W. Dudley McCarter

Dudley McCarter’s exemplary career has been recognized with several awards, including the Missouri Lawyers Media ICON Award.
The former president of the Missouri and St. Louis bar associations worked in construction during summer breaks from high school and college and has continued his involvement in the industry as a lawyer. In 2016, he won a case in front of the Supreme Court of Missouri that meant companies that are not local taxpayers can sue over having their bids for a public contract unfairly denied.
He earned his law degree in 1975 from the University of Missouri.
