Karl Zobrist has represented the electric utilities of Evergy, Inc. and their predecessors in regulated proceedings before the Missouri Public Service Commission, the Missouri Court of Appeals and the Missouri Supreme Court on general rate cases, mergers and acquisitions, and certificate of convenience and necessity cases.

He served as lead counsel for Clean Line Energy Partners in proceedings that resulted in the commission issuing a certificate for the Grain Belt Express high-voltage, direct current transmission line, which was upheld on appeal.

Since 1998, Zobrist has served as counsel to the Board of Directors of Midcontinent Independent System Operator, the nation’s first regional transmission organization. Zobrist served as chairman of the Missouri Public Service Commission in the mid-1990s.
