Top Managing Partners 2023: Lisa Krigsten

In 2019, Lisa Krigsten was named the managing partner of the Kansas City office of Dentons, the massive global law firm.

It’s a role that builds on skills she’s developed in a lengthy career both representing and defending against the U.S. government.

A partner in the firm’s white collar and government investigations practice, she advises and represents U.S. and foreign multinational companies, their senior management and their boards of directors in investigations and related complex criminal and civil litigation.

She previously served as a federal prosecutor with the Department of Justice in Washington. President George W. Bush appointed Krigsten as principal deputy assistant attorney general for civil rights, allowing her to investigate and prosecute civil rights cases from coast to coast.

Krigsten serves on the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City and the board of directors for the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, among other community roles. She earned her law degree from the University of Iowa in 1995.
