Top Managing Partners 2023: Patrick W. Rasche

Pat Rasche became the managing partner of Armstrong Teasdale in June 2021, inheriting the role from the firm’s now-chairman, David Braswell. Rasche set out to follow the firm’s five-year plan, which was launched at seemingly the worst time imaginable — the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Yet Armstrong has thrived. Armstrong is Missouri’s ninth largest law firm, according to Missouri Lawyers Media’s MOney 2023 publication, with revenue up 11.7 percent to $197.3 million last year.

Over the last two years, Armstrong has added offices in Miami, Florida; Dublin, Ireland; Washington, D.C.; Orange County, California; and Chicago, Illinois.

Rasche joined Armstrong Teasdale in 1997. An experienced IP practitioner and former patent examiner, he spent 17 years as the leader of the firm’s intellectual property practice group.

He also previously served on the firm’s compensation and executive committees before moving into the top role. He earned his law degree from Indiana University School of Law-Bloomington in 1993.
