Practice area(s): Intellectual property litigation and post-grant reviews

Advice to younger lawyers: Treat every senior associate and partner like they are your clients. Take feedback seriously, show you’ve learned from it, and don’t make the same mistake twice. Be proactive and look for ways to add value before being asked.

You don’t know: I took the last half of my first solo deposition from the back of a police car. The case was about technology IN the police car, and I had to ask the officer to turn on different features.

I might have been: A baker, but not being a morning person killed that plan. Instead, I’ve applied my chemistry degree to amateur cheese-making.

Best advice I’ve received: When I was in high school, I was inspired by a patent attorney who spoke at UMSL. Learning that advocating for innovators was a job made me all in.

Favorite professional moment: Seeing case theories I personally developed result in wins at motion to dismiss, summary judgment and trial is amazing.
