Staff Attorney, MFA Inc. , Columbia
University of Arkansas – Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law

Age: 32

Practice area(s): Real estate; contracts and commercial law; litigation and dispute resolution; labor and employment law; regulatory compliance; environmental law

Advice to younger lawyers: Focus on mastering fundamentals and building reputation through advocacy and integrity. Don’t cling to rigid scripts — the law is vast and ever-changing.

You don’t know: I planned to be a top-tier litigator but became a general practitioner for MFA Incorporated, a farm supply cooperative serving 45,000+ farmer-owners. I don’t come from an agricultural background.

Why I chose my practice area: Growing up as an athlete, I enjoyed practicing my craft for optimal performance and coaching younger athletes. Law offers the same balance of intellectually challenging myself while serving others.

I might have been: A teacher and coach.

Best advice I’ve received: Find fulfillment while prioritizing faith and family. Always put one foot in front of the other.

Off the clock: Spending time my two kids (Thea, 3, and Beau, 18 months) and my beautiful wife, Megan. And golfing, especially when I can get off the tee box.

Favorite professional moment: Being gifted sentimental professional attire from a judge commemorating my time as deputy prosecuting attorney in Little Rock.
