Joan Lockwood is a civil trial attorney representing individuals or businesses who have been harmed and are seeking compensation or other relief. She stays fully engaged in cases through the appellate process while adapting to new technologies and evolving jury dynamics.

Lockwood has served on the Supreme Court of Missouri Committee on Civil Jury Instructions and Charges since 2003, serving as reporter from 2009 to 2020 and as chair from 2020 to the present. The committee develops and revises Missouri Approved Instructions, which are critical to preserving issues for appeal.
