Missouri Lawyers Awards 2026: Michelle Nasser

Stemming from her experience as a federal prosecutor, Michelle Nasser’s practice focuses on white collar defense, internal investigations, and government-related matters including SEC and FCA cases. More than half of her caseload involves complex commercial litigation representing both plaintiffs and defendants. A career highlight was representing St. Louis and the Regional Stadium Authority in the litigation following the Rams’ 2016 relocation from St. Louis to Los Angeles.
In 2025, Nasser focused on building a strong team for the firm’s new Chicago office, recruiting a former AUSA and a 7th Circuit clerk. She noted that “building a strong team is more rewarding than any individual accomplishment.”
Since 2023, Nasser has served as a Criminal Justice Act Panel member and mentor in the Eastern District of Missouri. Through this work, she mentors several associates at the firm in representing indigent defendants charged with federal crimes. Before pursuing law, Nasser studied classical piano for 18 years, considered majoring in music, and served as pianist for her college orchestra.
