Chris HohnChris Hohn serves as firm chair of Thompson Coburn, an 800-person law firm based in St. Louis. With 30 years of legal practice, Hohn transitioned to firm leadership one year ago after scaling back his active litigation practice.

Throughout his career as a litigator, Hohn led trial teams and client teams through challenging, high-stakes litigation matters. He continues to work with a select group of clients on strategic initiatives while focusing on firm management and strategy execution.

As firm chair, Hohn oversees Thompson Coburn’s strategic growth initiatives across three key areas: lateral partner recruitment in existing markets, expansion into new markets including Florida and Texas, and enhanced business development. The firm recently opened a Birmingham office and welcomed a new chief business development and marketing officer as part of its growth strategy.

Hohn emphasizes cultivating unified firm culture, developing talent and embracing technological innovation. Under his leadership, Thompson Coburn has implemented new systems including a CRM platform and launched a new website in early 2025, following what he described as a “remarkably strong” 2024.
