Jerome Dobson is a former president of the National Employment Lawyers Association’s St. Louis chapter and a fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.
In 2016, he represented a senior adviser to the State Veterans Commission who had alleged that age and sex discrimination drove the decision to terminate her. She was awarded nearly $2.9 million, plus $900,000 in attorneys’ fees and costs.
In 2010, Dobson won an important precedent in the Missouri Supreme Court holding that even at-will employees can claim wrongful discharge if they are fired for reporting wrongdoing, though lawmakers have since revised the law.
