Thomas McCarthy is a former field attorney for the National Labor Relations Board who now represents management in labor and employment matters.
In 2019, he represented a Clayton-based law firm after a former employee alleged the firm violated the National Labor Relations Act by including a non-disparagement clause in its employee agreements. The firm settled without admitting wrongdoing and has stopped using the provision in agreements.
McCarthy has co-chaired the labor and employment law section of The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and is a former chair of its labor arbitrator development program.
