Diamond D. KingDiamond D. King is a paralegal at the Roderick & Solange MacArthur Justice Center in St. Louis, where she supports clients through criminal justice reform and civil rights litigation. King leads the organization’s internal diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, developing a comprehensive DEI resource bank and launching a training series focused on DEI history and theory. She has implemented wellness practices specifically designed to address secondary trauma experienced by justice workers.

King’s community advocacy extends beyond the courtroom through her support of investigations into deaths at the St. Louis County Justice Center and her provision of tornado relief efforts in O’Fallon. She plans to begin law school next year.

“I believe in meeting people where they are, building trust over policy, and creating space where people feel seen, heard and powerful,” King said. “I consider it a successful day when the people that we represent can feel the impact of our litigation, not just in court but in their everyday life, knowing that their voices are being heard and that someone cares.”
