Chip Robertson served on the Missouri Supreme Court from 1985 to 1998 before opening one of the state’s top appellate practices.

In recent years, Robertson protected the verdict for a woman and her family who had received a $38 million jury verdict in a personal injury lawsuit against Abbott Laboratories. Robertson represented her before the Missouri Court of Appeals, which affirmed the lower court’s ruling.

He also represented a police officer who was found guilty of assault, burglary and property damage in connection with the pursuit of a methamphetamine dealer. The litigation went to the Missouri Supreme Court which dismissed two of the charges.

Robertson earned his law degree in 1977 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
