James Onder has played key roles in a series of lawsuits alleging that talcum powder had caused ovarian cancer, sometimes fatally. He negotiated a settlement with Johnson & Johnson for $8.9 billion for current and future talc-related cancer victims. Onder remains involved in ongoing litigation on similar claims for more than 20,000 women.
Onder also has been involved in mini-blind death and injury lawsuits helping force changes in the design of mini-blinds.
He has served in lead attorney roles in several multidistrict litigation suits. In 2010, he reached a record-setting $22.5 million confidential vehicle collision settlement in St. Louis County.
Onder is a member of the MATA board of governors and has received the National Litigator Award.
