Deme Sotiriou practices personal injury and trucking accident law, representing injured individuals and families. After defending insurance companies and trucking carriers, “I decided to use that experience to fight for injured individuals instead,” she said.
Sotiriou noted that few lawyers, particularly female lawyers, have made this transition from defense to leading a plaintiff’s firm. Her most memorable matters involve catastrophic injuries and wrongful death, helping families rebuild after life-changing events.
She anticipates that technology, including dash cameras, telematics and vehicle data, will play a growing role in trucking cases. Sotiriou is a member of The Missouri Bar, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys and BAMSL.
